Flooding At Beckenham

Flooding At Beckenham School on PhotoPeach

Wednesday 25 July 2012

Last Friday Year 7/8 had Becamath and there were some fantastic results. Our team came 2nd (Thomas, Liam, Emily B and Jessica L.) Many of the questions were really challenging and made us work hard as a team to prove our maths skills!

A big thanks to Mr Johnson for teaching us in Room 18 at the moment. Yesterday Mr Johnson did a science experiment with us as part of learning to write explanations. First we got a bag and filled it up with baking soda, citric acid, food colouring, and water then shook it up and set it on the ground. The reaction of the mixture made the bag puff up. But sadly it did not blow up like we all wanted it to!

We are also studying the Ancient Olympics as a lead-up to the Games starting at the end of this week.
